A notary in BC can help with simple personal and estate planning needs. We can draft:
Simple wills
Enduring and general powers of attorney for use in BC
Representation agreements
Personal planning is, well, personal. It starts with getting to know you. If you are ready to get started, please email or call the office to book in for an intake appointment - don't forget, the first consult with me is always free.
To facilitate this, there will be some preparation needed - I will email you a form to fill in at the time of booking. Don't worry if you don't have all the info or answers yet! Just bring in what you can and we can chat about the rest.
After the intake, here's what might happen:
You get some homework - I might need more information before I can begin drafting documents.
I might refer you to another legal professional if you have more complex requirements.
Your documents are typically ready within 1-2 weeks for signing.
A simple will for one person starts at $500 + taxes and disbursements. If you require more complex drafting, the fee may go up based on the amount of additional work required.
Please inquire for package pricing. I try to offer the best value possible - so the more we can get done at the same appointment, the more value you get out of it.
Thinking of advance care planning - representation agreements, advance directions, DNR options, and more can be complex. I am always happy to walk you through various scenarios and options as part of the intake consult.
